Crock and/or Dragon Plush

I’ve got a new toy! :-)

My lovely husband exchanged the points on our credit cards for products and got me this adorable Crock plush! Crock’s the biggest plush toy I’ve ever had, so I’m embarrassingly bouncy about it; hence I’m writing about him here.

He’s so incredibly soft, it’s amazing! And made of non-allergic material, which is this big issue with me. What’s the point of having a big, soft Crock if I can’t cuddle him in my sleep? His face is so funny and full of character! I love it! I’m all about going for unusual animals for toys. I’m a bit like Hagrid, that way... Cats and dogs are so overrated. LOL

I’m thinking of giving him wings, though... Turning him into a Dragon and renaming him Norbert. Or perhaps he’ll undergo a sex change in the process and become Norberta for canon's sake... :-P

Love,
Nanni Clover!

Icon Post - Books, Love, Reading & Writing

I’m slowly learning how to play with Photoshop and I’ve made some icons. You can see a few of them here on my LJ, as my Userpics, but since I don’t have a paid account I only get 15 of those. I think it’s a shame to let the rest go to waste, so I’m posting them here and you can also find them on my ScrapBook.

The icons are all very simple and I decided to use the little heart as my stamp of sorts. If you’d like to have some other text on them, or maybe the same text, but with different colours, just comment, let me know and I’ll see what I can do for you.

The pics are not mine. I’ve been collecting them from various places over the years, but never bothered to catalogue where I got them from. So if any of the pics are yours, let me know and I’ll give you the proper credit. No offense, copyright or trademark infringement is intended. I merely used them because they’re so beautiful!

Love,
Nanni Clover! Signature Purple Clover

My Very First LJ Entry!

Hey! Just testing this thing.

I'm posting my FanFictions here and links to them in various sites. I've got a couple of things finished and several works in progress. However, seeing I only like to read completed works, I reserve the same treatment when it comes to posting my own.

My favourite fandoms are Harry Potter & Hanson, though I'm currently writing a piece on Sarah Dessen's (writergrl) 'Just Listen' book and I've got some original works too. My ships are the ones in canon. Always. As to Hanson, well, I pair them with my original characters.

Since I love reading, I expect my choice in fandoms to expand in the writing area. As for reading, I love (in no particular order):

• Ann Brashares's 'Sisterhood Of The Traveling Pants' Quartet
• Becca Fitzpatrick's 'Fallen Angels' Series
• Cassandra Clare's 'Mortal Instruments' Series
• Charlaine Harris's 'Southern Vampires' (AKA 'Sookie Stackhouse') Series
• Diana Peterfreund's 'Ivy League' Series
• Gillian Shields's 'Immortal' Series
• Holly Black's 'Modern Faerie Tales' Trilogy
• J.K. Rowling's 'Harry Potter' Series
• Jeanne DuPrau's 'Books Of Ember' Series
• Kelley Armstrong's 'Darkest Powers' Trilogy
• Lauren Kate's 'Fallen' Series
• Laurie Faria Stolarz's 'Touch' Series
• Lesley Livingston's 'Wondrous Strange' Trilogy
• Libba Bray's 'Gemma Doyle' Trilogy
• Lisa Jane (L.J.) Smith's 'Dark Visions' & 'Vampire Diaries' Trilogies
• Lisa McMann's 'Wake' (AKA 'Dream Catcher') Trilogy
• MaryJanice Davidson & Anthony Alongi's 'Jennifer Scales' Series
• Meg Cabot's (Writing As Jenny Carroll) '1-800-Where-R-You' & 'Mediator' Series
• Megan McCafferty's 'Jessica Darling' Series
• Melissa Marr's 'Wicked Lovely' Series
• Patricia Briggs's 'Alpha & Omega' Series
• Philip Pullman's 'His Dark Materials' Trilogy
• Simone Elkeles's 'Leaving Paradise' Duology & 'Perfect Chemistry' Trilogy
• Stephenie Meyer's 'Twilight' Saga
anything to do with sexy vampires
• and many, many more!

That's all for now, the dawn is breaking and I've got things to do.

PS: Feel free to lurk, still, friends are welcome! ;-)

Love,
Nanni Clover!
